If you want to be a gamer in flash I highly recommend this book. I've owned all the editions and continue to go back and read through it. He is an easy to understand kind of author.
He explains what type of actionscript 3.0 code you might use and a way of thinking about coding that will free you up a bit...even if you aren't a math major.
Great for folks who have had their hands on flash and know what it's like to make things move.
